1. Amazing Flying Elephants

Take a seat among one of the elephant-themed cars as you take flight on the Amazing Flying Elephants! Although this attraction in the Country Fair section of Dollywood is definitely geared more toward children, mom and dad can ride along to join in the fun! Hold on as you soar around in circles and travel up and down on this amazing adventure that is a favorite of the youngest guests in the park!

2. Dollywood Express

All aboard for a breathtaking 5-mile journey through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains on the Dollywood Express! This delightful family train ride features an authentic 110 ton coal-fired steam engine that carries you on a 20-minute excursion through some of the best views in the Smokies. As you ride along, close your eyes and picture what it must have been like back in the days to rely on trails like the Dollywood Express to travel from one destination to another!

3. Rockin’ Roadway

Parents get the unique opportunity to put their children in the driver’s seat on the Rockin’ Roadway! This is one of the Dollywood attractions that kids really love as they take the wheel of a classic Cadillac, Corvette or Thunderbird. The scenic route winds down a themed country road that is set in the 1950s, where you will see classic billboards and other fun scenery. The only rider requirement is that guests under 42 inches must be accompanied by an adult at least 16 years old.

4. Village Carousel

There is nothing more delightful than seeing the smiles of your children aboard the Village Carousel, a beautiful carousel ride featuring more than 60 painted animals. This is also a nostalgic ride for parents as they remember back to their own first time on a carousel! As calliope music fills the air, ride along in the saddle and hold onto the pole as you slowly turn round and round. When picking your horse, keep an eye out for the lead horse known as “Dolly” due to its flowing blonde mane!

5. Whistle Punk Chaser

If you have kids in your family who are brave enough to try the wildest roller coasters in the park but don’t yet meet the height requirement, they will be happy to know that they can ride the Whistle Punk Chaser junior roller coaster! Standing at just under 15 feet in height, this pint-sized coaster features a single helix as it speeds along in the Timber Canyon section of Dollywood. Parents can also ride along with the kids without worrying about steep drops and fast turns.
