Tips for Staying at Our Pigeon Forge Hotel with a Pool
Staying in a Pigeon Forge hotel with a pool is a great way to spend a vacation, especially if you have kids with you! Since our hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, the kids can play in the water – rain or shine.
The added benefit of a pool means that you can save money. You won’t have to try and visit a waterpark to cool off on a hot day.

Games to Play When You Stay at Our Pigeon Forge Hotel with a Pool
When you decide to spend a day by the pool, you may need some ideas of games to play. Here’s a couple of classic favorites:
Marco Polo
The classic pool game Marco Polo has easy rules. You will select a person to be “Marco.” They will close their eyes and start yelling out “Marco” as they swim around the pool – eyes shut! The other players yell “Polo” in reply. This goes on until the person who is Marco catches another player. The object of the game is to avoid being tagged by Marco. Some versions of this game also use the rule of “Fish Out of Water.” What this basically means is that when the person who is it thinks they hear someone get out of the pool in an attempt to avoid being tagged, they can yell this out. When this happens, the “Fish Out of Water” then becomes the next Marco. Continue the game until everyone has a chance to be Marco!
Dolphins and Sharks
This is a great game to play if you come with a large group to our Pigeon Forge hotel. This is another type of tag game. You choose a person to be “it” and separate the other players into two teams. One of the groups are “dolphins” while the other group are the “sharks.” You will need to set a safe zone for each team on opposite ends of the pool. Now, after all of that is said and done, you will put the players into a circle. The person who is “it” will yell out either “Sharks” or “Dolphins.” Whichever team is called must try to get to their safe zone before being tagged by the other team. If they are tagged by the other team, then they become a member of that team. The game continues until one team wins.
Sharks and Minnows
This fun pool game is similar to Dolphins and Sharks, except that only one person is “it” and the other players are attempting to get from one end of the pool to the other without being tagged by the person who is “it.” Once a Minnow is tagged by the Shark, they too become a Shark. You can play this one of two ways. You can do an easier version of the game by making the players swim from one side of the pool to the other side. Or you can make the players swim from end of the pool to the other end. Side to side may seem easier, but when there’s only a few Minnows left, it becomes more difficult to avoid the Sharks!
