Virtually all of the theaters in town offer special Christmas themed performances throughout November and December. With spectacular holiday music, festive decorations, and a feel-good message, these shows are the perfect way to prepare for Santa’s arrival. Here are a few of the most popular theaters in Pigeon Forge with Christmas shows:

2. New Year’s Eve at The Island in Pigeon Forge
Each year, the city of Pigeon Forge celebrates New Year’s Eve with a big party at The Island. The event is completely free to attend and features all kinds of family activities. The festivities culminate with a fun countdown to midnight and an awesome fireworks display. Of course, all of The Island’s excellent restaurants, attractions, and shops will be open throughout the night, so you can get a bite to eat or pick up some souvenirs before the clock strikes midnight. The holiday lights are still up at the entertainment complex, so you’ll also get to enjoy those as you ring in the new year!
3. Winterfest Light Displays
Another one of our favorite things about winter in Pigeon Forge TN is the city’s breathtaking holiday lights. As part of the annual Winterfest celebration, Pigeon Forge is illuminated by over 5 million brilliant light displays. Drawing inspiration from the Smoky Mountain area and the Christmas season, these displays depict classic holiday scenes, Smoky Mountain critters, and local landmarks.
To help visitors find all of the light displays, the city has put together a “Driving Tour of Lights.” When you visit the Pigeon Forge Trolley Office or Pigeon Forge Welcome Center you will find free brochures and maps with everything you need to navigate around town and enjoy the lights. While you can drive yourself around in your own car, you can also hop aboard the public trolley system to enjoy riding around looking at the Winterfest lights!
